Police Raid Drug Den in Samarinda, 11 People Detained

The Director of Narcotics Criminal Investigation at the National Police, Brigadier General Eko Hadi Santoso, confirmed the raid. The operation took place in Gang Langgar, Samarinda City, East Kalimantan, an area known as a drug den.

A joint team from Directorate IV of the National Police’s Directorate of Narcotics Criminal Investigation and the NIC Task Force of the National Police’s Directorate of Narcotics Criminal Investigation, led by Commissioners Handik Zusen and Kevin Leleury, secured a number of individuals.

“We have detained eleven suspects,” said Brigadier General Eko Hadi when confirmed on Saturday (16/5/2026).

In addition, officers also confiscated a number of drug-related items. This syndicate has been operating in the drug den for some time.

“They have been operating for four years,” he said.

The suspects are currently en route to the National Police’s Bareskrim for further examination.
