Police Raid Drug Dealer's Home in Depok, Seize 4.3 kg of Cannabis

The Narcotics Directorate of the Jakarta Metro Police (Polda Metro Jaya) arrested a drug dealer with the initials MA (30) in Bojongsari, Depok. During the arrest, police also seized cannabis weighing 4.3 kilogrammes as evidence.

MA was arrested on Tuesday, 10 March 2026 in the evening in the Jalan Raya Parung area, Bojongsari Lama, Depok City. The arrest was carried out by Unit 4 of Subdivision 1 of the Narcotics Directorate of Polda Metro Jaya after receiving information from the public regarding alleged cannabis abuse in Depok City.

“At approximately 21:30 local time, officers successfully apprehended suspect MA (30) in the Jl Raya Parung area, Bojongsari Lama, Depok City. During a search, police found a plastic package containing cannabis,” said AKP Joko Arianto, Head of Unit 4 of Subdivision 1 of the Narcotics Directorate of Polda Metro Jaya, in a statement on Friday (13 March).

Following further investigation, police proceeded to the suspect’s residence. Officers discovered a cloth containing cannabis believed to be connected to the suspect.

“From this operation, police seized evidence in the form of cannabis with a gross weight of 4,385 grammes (4.3 kilogrammes),” he said.

AKP Joko Arianto also urged the public not to use drugs and called for collective efforts to eradicate narcotics. The suspect and evidence have been brought to the Narcotics Directorate headquarters of Polda Metro Jaya for further examination.
