Police Raid Counterfeit Money Printing Operation, Seize 360,000 Fake Notes Worth Rp36 Billion

Police officers were positioned near a pile of counterfeit money during a raid at Taman Tekno Bumi Serpong Damai (BSD), Serpong, South Tangerang, Banten, on Saturday (22/8/2026). The Economic and Banking Sub-Directorate of Polda Metro Jaya’s Special Criminal Investigation Directorate uncovered suspected counterfeit money printing activity at the location. In the raid, police found 360,000 counterfeit Rp100,000 notes with a nominal value reaching Rp36 billion. All of the money found was confirmed to be counterfeit and has been secured as evidence in the case.
