Police raid Alexa Suite, arrest two etomidate drug dealers

Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Narcotics Investigation Unit of the North Jakarta Metropolitan Police raided the nightlife venue Alexa Suites and Lounge on Jalan Simpang Empat, Penjaringan, North Jakarta and arrested two etomidate drug dealers inside the establishment.

“The raid was carried out based on a report from the management of the nightclub regarding the circulation of the narcotic etomidate,” said North Jakarta Metro Police Narcotics Unit Chief, AKBP Ari Galang Saputra, in Jakarta on Friday.

He stated that the two suspects, identified by the initials FIS and MS, were successfully apprehended along with a quantity of evidence. The evidence seized from both men at the Alexa nightclub included 16 yellow-packaged cartridges containing mango-flavoured etomidate with a gross weight of 116.9 grammes. Also seized was one yakuza cartridge containing etomidate with a gross weight of 9.94 grammes.

Subsequently, Unit 2 of the Narcotics Investigation Unit conducted further investigation from the two suspects, leading them to a unit at the Palm Mansion apartment in West Jakarta on Tuesday (2/6). The Palm Mansion Apartment Tower L was suspected of being a storage warehouse for the illicit etomidate narcotics.
