Police Question 15 People Over Clash on Jalan Tambak Menteng
Central Jakarta Metro Police are questioning 15 individuals in connection with a clash on Jalan Tambak, Menteng, Central Jakarta. The investigation aims to uncover the cause and chronology of the incident. “For this incident as a whole, we have secured and are intensively questioning around 15 people. However, we are differentiating them into clusters for each event,” said Central Jakarta Metro Police Chief, Senior Commissioner Reynold EP Hutagalung, as quoted by Antara on Monday (27/7). Reynold added that investigators are also examining victims and witnesses, including probing the alleged destruction of carts belonging to micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) and the alleged assault of residents during the clash. Reynold stated that the investigation is ongoing to fully uncover the cause of the clash and the roles of each party involved based on the evidence collected. “Whether they are victims or suspected perpetrators, they must be held accountable for their actions,” Reynold said. In addition, police are still intensively questioning three individuals with the initials S, T, and U who were detained in connection with the clash on Jalan Tambak, Menteng, Central Jakarta. According to Reynold, the three are suspected of being involved. “An intensive examination is being carried out to determine the origins of the incident,” Reynold said.
