Police Pursue Most Wanted Drug Trafficker 'Boy', Who Paid Protection Money to Former Police Chief
Police have reissued wanted notices for Hamid alias ‘Boy’, a drug trafficker who allegedly paid protection money to former Bima City Police Chief AKBP Didik Putra Kuncoro.
The Director of Narcotics Crime at the National Police’s Criminal Investigation Directorate, Brigadier General Eko Hadi Santoso, stated that the man born in Bima on 31 December 1977 had transferred 1.8 billion Indonesian rupiah in protection money to Didik through former Narcotics Head of Bima City Police Station AKP Maulangi.
Eko said the wanted notice was issued by the West Nusa Tenggara Regional Police (NTB) simultaneously with Satriawan alias ‘Awan’, a methamphetamine courier carrying one kilogramme as part of drug trafficker Erwin Iskandar alias ‘Ko Erwin’s’ network.
“The wanted notices for Hamid alias ‘Boy’ and Satriawan alias ‘Awan’ are currently being pursued and apprehended jointly by officers from the National Police’s Narcotics Crime Directorate and the NTB Regional Police’s Narcotics Directorate,” Eko stated in a written statement on Sunday (1 March).
Eko explained that ‘Boy’ came to the attention of authorities following the interrogation of suspect Maulangi. Based on Maulangi’s confession, during the period from June to November 2025, he received 1.8 billion Indonesian rupiah from Boy.
“This was presented as attention money, which was subsequently handed over to former Bima City Police Chief AKBP Didik Putra Kuncoro at Uma Lengge (a traditional Bima residence) located within the Bima City Police Station compound,” Eko said.
According to wanted notice Number DPO/26/II/2026/Ditresnarkoba, Boy has distinctive features including a height of approximately 171 centimetres, stocky build, wavy black hair, olive complexion, round eyes, elongated face, and thick eyebrows with no other distinguishing marks.
Meanwhile, according to wanted notice Number DPO/24/II/2026 Ditresnarkoba, Satriawan has distinctive features including a height of 160 centimetres, one missing upper front tooth, fair complexion, short hair with some greying and partial baldness, and a large scar on his leg.
Additionally, the Criminal Investigation Directorate also issued a wanted notice for Ko Andre alias ‘The Doctor’, identified as an accomplice in planning the escape of drug trafficker Ko Erwin to Malaysia via illegal sea routes.
Eko stated that Andre also operates a network in Riau and frequently distributes narcotics including methamphetamine, inhalant drugs, and etomidate vapes.
Andre is also identified as a distributor of vape cartridges containing etomidate under the brands Ferrari and Lamborghini, which are shipped via sea routes from Malaysia through Dumai, Riau. Methamphetamine shipments are typically sent via cargo, packaged inside dolls and wrapped in gift boxes.
