Police probe THR request letter allegedly bearing the name of the Tanjung Priok Port Police

The Metro Jaya Regional Police are investigating a circular asking for assistance with the Idul Fitri THR for 1447 Hijriah that purported to be from the Tanjung Priok Port Police and addressed to trucking companies.

The Tanjung Priok Port Police in North Jakarta denied sending the THR request letter to the Indonesian Trucking Entrepreneurs Association (Aptrindo) via a photo of the letter circulating widely on several social media platforms.

The Port Police Chief AKBP Aris Wibowo said that the Port Police had coordinated with Aptrindo’s management and they had issued a clarification letter regarding the matter.

‘For this incident we will investigate the party who bears the name of the Port Police,’ he said.

The Head of the Traffic Unit (Kasat Lantas) of the Port Police, AKP Ganjar Tejasasmita, also denied the existence of the letter.

Earlier, a letter circulated with the Port Police of Tanjung Priok’s letterhead, numbered B/01/III/2026/Sat Lantas, regarding Participation in Idul Fitri 1447 Hijriah/2026 to PT KPA Transport’s Director/Company Leader, dated 4 March 2026.

The letter states that the Traffic Unit of the Tanjung Priok Port Police requests THR assistance and thanks recipients for their help and participation.
