Police probe arson at station

BANDAR LAMPUNG, Lampung: The police have promised to probe the
recent burning of a police station in Pagelaran, Tanggamus
regency, and seek trial for those responsible.

Antara quoted chief detective Lt. Col. Yoyon Prasetyo at the
provincial police office as saying here on Friday that no arrests
had been made from the hundreds of residents and ojek (motorcycle
taxi) drivers who burned down the police station last month.

The mob set the building on fire after police refused to let
them lynch Tri Gunarto, 28, who robbed and killed 20-year-old
motorcycle taxi driver Nizar. (rms)
