Police Prepare Traffic Diversions for President Prabowo's State Address

The Traffic Directorate of Polda Metro Jaya has prepared a situational traffic diversion scheme around the DPR/MPR RI Parliament Complex in Senayan, Central Jakarta, to anticipate congestion during the State Address delivered by President Prabowo Subianto on Friday.

Deputy Director of Traffic of Polda Metro Jaya, AKBP Arif Fazlurrahman, urged the public to anticipate potential vehicle build-up in the area from the morning.

“We urge road users to anticipate potential traffic congestion around the Senayan area. The President’s State Address is scheduled to take place from 08.00 WIB until completion,” said Arif in Jakarta on Friday.

Arif explained that the implementation of traffic engineering and diversion around Senayan is situational, adjusting to vehicle volume and dynamics on the ground.

To keep public mobility smooth, the police asked road users to manage their departure times and utilise alternative routes.

“We ask road users to adjust their travel times, utilise alternative routes, and most importantly comply with the directions of our officers in the field for the safety and smooth flow of everyone,” said Arif.

He also emphasised the importance of driving safety and compliance with applicable traffic rules for all road users.

To make it easier for the public to plan their journeys, Polda Metro Jaya provides regular traffic condition updates through the official social media channels of the Polda Metro Jaya Traffic Directorate.

The Secretariat General of the MPR RI confirmed that the entire series of preparations ahead of the 2026 MPR RI Annual Session and the Joint Session of the DPR RI and DPD RI, held on Friday, has proceeded in a mature, coordinated and optimal manner.

Deputy for Administration of the MPR RI Secretariat General, Heri Herawan, said that this year’s Annual Session, held in the context of the 81st Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia, prioritises close synergy and collaboration between state institutions.

“For the 2026 MPR RI Annual Session and the Joint Session of the DPR RI and DPD RI, all work units within the MPR RI Secretariat General have carried out thorough preparations,” said Heri at the parliament complex, Jakarta, Thursday (13/8).
