Police Personnel Reshuffled Following Sleman Controversy and Bima Drug Case
JAKARTA – Indonesia’s National Police (Polri) has reassigned several officers facing ethical and criminal issues. The move is described as part of internal evaluation and restructuring of human resource management within the Bhayangkara Corps.
The reassignments are outlined in Police Chief Telegram Letter (ST) Number ST/440/II/KEP./2026 dated 27 February 2026. The telegram covers a total of 54 personnel undergoing position shifts and promotions.
“For the evaluation or demotion category, three officials have undergone position reassignments,” said Johnny in his statement on Saturday (28 February 2026).
One of those reassigned was the Sleman City Police Chief (Kapolresta) KBP Edy Setyanto Erning Wibowo from the Regional Police of Special Region of Yogyakarta (Polda DIY), who has been transferred to the Legal Division (Divkum) at the National Police Headquarters (Mabes Polri).
“KBP Edy Setyanto Erning Wibowo, who previously served as Kapolresta Sleman of Polda DIY, has been reassigned to Polri’s Legal Division,” he said.
The position of Kapolresta Sleman is now filled by KBP Adhitya Panji Anom, who previously held the position of Accreditor of Professional Conduct Division Level III at Polri’s Professional and Security Division (Divpropam).
Additionally, former Bima City Police Chief AKBP Didik Putra Kuncoro has also been removed from his position. He has been placed as a middle-ranking officer (Pamen) at the Headquarters Service Unit (Yanma) at Mabes Polri.
“Then AKBP Didik Putra Kuncoro, who previously served as Kapolres Bima Kota of Polda NTB, has been reassigned as Pamen Yanma Polri,” he said.
“This step is part of Polri’s human resource management strategy to ensure the organisation remains adaptive, solid, and responsive to future operational challenges,” he added.
The reassignments of these officials are not unrelated to ongoing case developments. AKBP Didik Putra Kuncoro previously served as Bima City Police Chief at the East Nusa Tenggara Regional Police (Polda Nusa Tenggara Barat).
He is currently a suspect in a case involving alleged drug trafficking and abuse being handled by the Criminal Investigation Directorate (Bareskrim) of Polri. Legal proceedings against him are still ongoing at the investigation stage.
