Police Personnel Mutations: Senior Officers Transferred for Internal Evaluation
JAKARTA — The Indonesian National Police (Polri) has transferred several personnel currently facing ethical and criminal issues for internal evaluation purposes.
Among those transferred are the non-active Sleman Regional Police Chief (Kapolresta) KBP Edy Setyanto Erning Wibowo and former Bima City Police Chief (Kapolres) AKBP Didik Putra Kuncoro.
The mutations are outlined in a Polri Chief Telegram (ST) numbered ST/440/II/KEP./2026, dated 27 February 2026.
“In the evaluation or demotion category, three officials have been transferred. KBP Edy Setyanto Erning Wibowo, who previously served as Sleman Regional Police Chief of the Yogyakarta Regional Police (Polda DIY), has been transferred to the Legal Division of Polri,” stated Johnny Eddizon Isir, Head of Polri’s Public Relations Division, in a statement on Saturday (28 February 2026).
“AKBP Didik Putra Kuncoro, who previously served as Bima City Police Chief of the East Nusa Tenggara Regional Police (Polda NTB), has been transferred to become an assistant to the Chief of Traffic Enforcement at Polri,” Johnny added.
The position of Bima City Police Chief is now filled by AKBP Mubiarto Banu Kristanto, who previously served as head of the Traffic Investigation Unit at the East Nusa Tenggara Regional Police.
Additionally, AKBP Natalena Eko Cahyono, who previously served as Bungo Police Chief at the Jambi Regional Police, has been transferred to become an assistant to the Jambi Regional Police Chief.
“The position of Bungo Police Chief is now entrusted to AKBP Zamri Elfino, who previously served as head of Subdivision 3 at the Criminal Investigation Division of the Jambi Regional Police,” added Johnny.
This mutation of three officials forms part of a broader transfer affecting 54 personnel who have been reassigned or promoted.
Johnny emphasised that all mutation processes were conducted objectively and based on organisational requirements.
It is known that AKBP Didik is currently a suspect in a drug trafficking case, with his legal proceedings still under investigation by Polri’s Criminal Investigation Division.
Meanwhile, Kombes Edy Setyanto has been suspended since late January 2026 following his handling of the case involving Hogi Minaya, the husband of a robbery victim who was previously named as a suspect.
