Police: Permanent Housing Construction in Aceh Tamiang Reaches 45 Per Cent Progress
Banda Aceh (ANTARA) — The Aceh Regional Police (Polda Aceh) has stated that construction progress on 150 permanent housing units (huntap) in Simpang Kanan, Aceh Tamiang Regency, has reached 45 per cent.
“As of now, the physical construction progress of the permanent housing in Simpang Kanan, Aceh Tamiang Regency, has reached 45 per cent, whilst land levelling has reached 80 per cent,” said Aceh Regional Police public relations chief Joko Krisdiyanto in Banda Aceh on Sunday.
He said that Aceh Police Chief Inspector General Marzuki Ali Basyah had previously visited the construction site of the 150 permanent housing units in Simpang Kanan Village, Kejuruan Muda Sub-district, Aceh Tamiang Regency.
The permanent housing for victims of hydrometeorological disasters is being built on a 7.5-hectare plot of land. The housing is expected to offer renewed hope for the residents of Simpang Kanan Village, Kejuruan Muda Sub-district, Aceh Tamiang Regency.
“The Aceh Police Chief’s visit to inspect the permanent housing construction represents a tangible commitment by the national police to ascertain the progress of housing construction for flash flood victims in the area,” he said.
Joko Krisdiyanto said that if possible, all units would enter the final stage of construction after Eid al-Fitr or ahead of Eid al-Adha 1447 H, enabling hydrometeorological disaster victims to relocate to the permanent housing as soon as possible.
He noted that the construction of permanent housing is not merely about erecting buildings, but about restoring a sense of security and reviving hope for a better future for communities affected by hydrometeorological disasters.
“We hope that through the hard work of personnel involved in the permanent housing construction, together with the prayers of the people of Simpang Kanan Village, the housing can be occupied by disaster victims from late November 2025,” said Joko Krisdiyanto.
