Police Patrol Empty Homes Left by Holidaymakers in Bogor
Police are conducting patrols as part of preparations for securing Takbiran night and Eid al-Fitr 1447 H in the Klapanunggal area, Bogor, West Java. Security measures are being implemented through patrols.
“A joint readiness roll call in preparation for securing Takbiran night in Klapanunggal Subdistrict to ensure that Takbiran night runs safely, orderly, and conducive,” said Klapanunggal Police Chief Iptu Asep Saifurrohman on Friday (20/3/2026).
In addition, he stated that security is being provided for residents of Bogor Regency who are returning to their hometowns or mudik. Police will patrol homes left empty by their owners during mudik.
“Correct, they are currently patrolling,” he clarified.
The patrols are conducted to prevent incidents of theft or other crimes. At the same time, this serves as a commitment to maintaining security in the community.
“The presence of officers in the field is a manifestation of our collective commitment to maintaining public comfort and anticipating potential disruptions to public security and order,” he added.
Furthermore, Klapanunggal Police Station is also preparing parking spaces that residents can use to store their vehicles during mudik. The storage is free of charge.
“The requirements are very simple: just bring a photocopy of your ID and photocopy of STNK/BPKB (as proof of legal ownership). Please utilise this facility at the nearest police station without any fees,” he concluded.
