Police officers dismissed

PALU, Central Sulawesi: Central Sulawesi Police Headquarters has
dismissed five officers for a variety of reasons, including
fathering a child out of wedlock.

"The five officers have been discharged from the corps because
they persisted in violating regulations, although we had already
warned them many times," police spokesman Adj. Sr. Comr. Agus
Sugianto told the media on Thursday.

Some of the officers were also discovered to have more than
two wives and be suffering from mental illness.

"In accordance with the reform movement, the National Police
will not tolerate officers whose behavior brings disrepute to the
corps' image," Agus asserted. --Antara
