“It is being monitored; we are processing to conduct an examination at Pasar Minggu Police Station regarding the member who received information from the public, whom we contacted yesterday,” Radjo told Kompas.com via WhatsApp chat on Tuesday (14/4/2026).
Previously reported, Pasar Minggu Police Chief Commissioner Anggiat Sinambela apologised after allegations emerged that one of his officers ignored a report of a missing person’s discovery on Saturday (11/4/2026).
He stated that he would evaluate services within the Pasar Minggu Police Station ranks.
“We convey our apologies and mutual forgiveness, and we will provide maximum service to the public who need the presence and assistance of the police,” Anggiat told Kompas.com on Monday (13/4/2026).
Anggiat said that the elderly person named Warisem, who was temporarily entrusted to Pasar Minggu Police Station and then went missing again, has now been found and reunited with his family.
This information has also been conveyed to the netizen who first uploaded the discovery of Warisem on social media Threads.
Previously, a netizen named Tiara uploaded photos and videos of the discovery of Warisem on social media.
In her post, Tiara stated that her friend, who delivered the elderly person to Pasar Minggu Police Station, did not receive a response from the officers.
Her friend was allegedly only advised to leave Warisem at the location without any recording process. After that, Warisem allegedly left without supervision.
“Indeed, he was left there; the police were very indifferent, really focused only on the computer. My friend wasn’t asked to record or hand over ID. They just said, ‘Just leave the mother there, she’s used to going missing,’” Tiara told Kompas.com on Monday (13/4/2026).
