Police Officer Suffers Broken Leg While Securing Protest at DPR

The Head of Planning for the Central Jakarta Metro Police, AKBP Adri Desas Furyanto, was injured while overseeing a demonstration in front of the MPR/DPR RI building. The diagnosis is a fracture of the right patella. Central Jakarta Metro Police Chief Kombes Reynold EP Hutagalung stated on Wednesday (24/6/2026) that AKBP Adri is currently receiving intensive care at the Police Hospital in Kramat Jati. Separately, Central Jakarta Metro Police Public Relations Head Iptu Erlyn Sumantri said the incident occurred on Monday (22/6) when a disturbance broke out, leading to the burning of tyres. AKBP Adri attempted to extinguish the fire and subsequently fell. He was securing a protest by PB PMII at the time.
