Police Officer at Central Java Police Training School Demoted 11 Years for Moral Violation
Semarang (ANTARA) - The Polri Code of Ethics Commission has imposed a sanction of demotion for 11 years on police officer Briptu BTS for alleged moral violations after recording a female police officer in the bathroom dormitory of the National Police Training School (SPN) of the Central Java Regional Police.
The Head of Public Relations of the Central Java Regional Police, Senior Commissioner Pol. Artanto, in Semarang on Tuesday, stated that Briptu BTS had undergone the Professional Code of Ethics trial on Monday (13/4).
He said the trial result declared the suspect guilty of committing a disgraceful act.
“An administrative sanction of demotion for 11 years and 20 days of special punishment has been imposed,” he stated.
He explained that the heavy sanction imposed was based on Government Regulation (PP) No. 1 of 2003, which regulates the dismissal of Polri members.
According to him, the firm sanction is expected to serve as a deterrent effect while maintaining the integrity of educational institutions within the Polri environment.
Briptu BTS was reported to the Provos Unit of the SPN Central Java Regional Police regarding a report of alleged moral violation involving the recording of a female police officer in the dormitory bathroom, with the internal process continued by the Profession and Security Division of the Central Java Regional Police.
The alleged violation at the SPN Central Java Regional Police occurred in September 2025.
To date, Artanto said, only one victim has reported the alleged harassment.
