Police officer accused of raping

A female resident of Rawa Lumbu complex, Bekasi, has filed a report accusing a police officer of raping her in Cijantung, East Jakarta, earlier this month.

The female resident, NS, said that the officer, identified as LN, raped her in his brother's house.

The incident actually took place on Oct. 2 but because the officer, a second police sergeant of Pasar Rebo police station, threatened to kill her, she waited out of fear until Oct. 26 before coming forward.

NS said that the incident started when she met LN in front of the Indonesian Christian University in Cawang, East Jakarta.

LN initially offered to help and then drived her to Tanjung Priok. However, LN took a detour to his brother's house in Cijantung, where the rape allegedly took place.

NS, an employee of a company in Bekasi, is still under medical care in Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital, Central Jakarta. (22)
