The victim was found dead in a rental house in the Omah Seruni 99 area, Jatirangga Village, Jatisampurna Subdistrict, Bekasi City, West Java, on Wednesday 27 May 2026 evening. Komisaris Andi Muhammad Iqbal, head of the Criminal Investigation Unit (Reskrim) of Bekasi City Metropolitan Police, stated that the suspect was named following a case review and interrogation of SG after his condition improved following intensive treatment for injuries sustained. ‘We have conducted a case review and named SG as the suspect,’ Iqbal said when interviewed at the Bekasi City Metropolitan Police headquarters on Friday 29 May 2026. The suspect reportedly apologised to his nephew for the act. ‘Based on his statements, which were inconsistent, he admitted to the crime,’ Iqbal said.
