Police Name Suspect in Murder After Body Thrown from Bogor Toll

Police have named a suspect in the murder of a 25-year-old woman identified as AA. The victim’s family stated the suspect is a former schoolmate of AA. Kompol Bagus Azi Lesmana Putra, head of the Bogor City Police Criminal Investigation Unit, confirmed the suspect has been detained along with evidence. He also verified that the suspect threw the victim’s body from the Bogor Outer Ring Road (BORR) toll onto Jalan Sholis. ‘Yes, the victim was thrown from the toll down to Jalan Sholis,’ Azi said, adding that full details would be released tomorrow, Monday (25 May). Previously, AA’s body was found lying on Jalan Raya Sholeh Iskandar (Jalan Sholis) in Bogor City, West Java, on Saturday (23 May). CCTV footage circulating on social media showed the suspect throwing the body from the BORR toll. Meanwhile, the family stated the suspect is a schoolmate of AA whom they had not seen in a long time. ‘There was no issue; I’m sure there was no problem. And I can confirm the victim and suspect were not lovers. I dare say this because I raised this child, I brought her up. He is a schoolmate who hadn’t met in a long time,’ said Syamsudin, AA’s uncle and adoptive parent. Syamsudin hopes the suspect receives a fitting punishment, adding that if possible, he should receive the death penalty. ‘Life for life. If possible, death penalty, or at the very least life imprisonment,’ he said.
