Police Name Former Bima City Police Chief and Associates as Money Laundering Suspects

Jakarta (ANTARA) - The National Police’s Criminal Investigation Agency has designated former Bima City Police Chief Didik Putra Kuncoro and four others as suspects in an alleged money laundering (TPPU) case related to the underlying crime of drug abuse misuse. Director of Narcotics Crimes (Dirtipidnarkoba) at the National Police’s Criminal Investigation Agency, Brigadier General Eko Hadi Santoso, stated in Jakarta on Wednesday that the other four suspects are Malaungi, the former Head of the Narcotics Unit at Bima City Police Resort. Then, Abdul Hamid alias Boy, a drug lord in Bima City. Both had previously been designated as suspects in an alleged drug trafficking case. The next suspect is Alex Iskandar, the biological brother of drug lord Erwin Iskandar alias Koko Erwin. Koko Erwin is also a suspect in the alleged drug trafficking case. The last suspect is Ais Setiawati, the former wife of Koko Erwin. Didik Putra Kuncoro, the former Bima City Police Chief, has been designated as a suspect in the alleged drug trafficking case in Bima City, West Nusa Tenggara. He is suspected of receiving “security money” amounting to Rp1 billion from Koko Erwin, the drug lord. Meanwhile, Malaungi, who was Didik’s subordinate at Bima City Police Resort, received money from Abdul Hamid alias Boy amounting to Rp1.8 billion as a form of attention money. Then, Malaungi gave that money to Didik. Previously, the Narcotics Criminal Investigation Directorate at the National Police’s Criminal Investigation Agency also designated three money laundering (TPPU) suspects related to the proceeds of dark drug trafficking carried out by Koko Erwin. They are VVP, Koko Erwin’s wife, and two of Koko Erwin’s children with initials HSI and CA.
