Police Name 15 Witnesses After Raids Linked to Three Corruption Cases
Police have examined 15 witnesses in connection with raids on suspected corruption cases involving coal, ASABRI, and Krakatau Steel. The witnesses questioned include two individuals at the de’Clan café in Cipete, South Jakarta, and security personnel in the Sentul area of Bogor Regency, West Java.
This was conveyed by the Head of Public Relations for Polda Metro Jaya, Senior Commissioner Budi Hermanto, during a press conference regarding the raids on the three corruption cases held at Polda Metro Jaya headquarters on Friday (10/7/2026). Budi was accompanied by the Director of Enforcement at the National Police’s Corruption Eradication Corps, Brigadier General Robertus Yohanes De Deo, and the Director of Special Criminal Investigation at Polda Metro Jaya, Senior Commissioner Victor Dean Mackbon.
“For the de’Clan café witnesses, there were two people. Four were money changers with the initials DH, HH, ER, and RP. Another witness was at a house in Gandaria, with the initials DR,” Budi stated.
In addition, police also questioned a driver and a witness located in the South Jakarta area. Security officers in the Sentul residential complex in Bogor were also examined.
“Earlier, TK was questioned at Pacific Place. This includes a witness, T, the driver of DR, as well as a witness from NH. The search conducted last night involved a witness with the initials MIL. Two other witnesses are Sentul security personnel with the initials R and A,” Budi said.
Budi was also asked about the status of TK (Tan Kian), who has been questioned by the joint investigation team from Polda Metro Jaya and the Corruption Eradication Corps. He stated that TK remains a witness.
“So, as of now, the person concerned is still a witness,” Budi said in response to a journalist’s question.
During the raids at several locations, police seized a number of pieces of evidence, including photographs from a house in the Sentul area. However, Budi stated that the photographs would not be shown to the public for reasons of privacy.
“We will not present the photos because there are privacy matters we must protect, as they include family photos and we must protect the family and others,” Budi explained.
This case is being handled jointly by the National Police’s Corruption Eradication Corps and the Special Criminal Investigation Directorate of Polda Metro Jaya. Police have pledged to announce the suspects in the case in the near future.
“Not tonight, but we will soon announce the suspects in the case handled by the joint investigation, the Kortastipidkor and Polda Metro Jaya,” Budi said.
Budi reiterated that the handling of these three corruption cases follows directives from President Prabowo Subianto. The National Police is committed to supporting the President’s national priority of strengthening corruption eradication.
“We are here to convey the investigation process into alleged criminal acts of corruption, bribery, gratification, and/or money laundering,” Budi said.
He stated that the case handling aligns with the seventh Asta Cita in the government’s agenda, which is to strengthen political, legal, and bureaucratic reform, as well as to bolster the prevention and eradication of corruption.
“This corruption eradication is a priority of the President of the Republic of Indonesia under the seventh Asta Cita programme, which is to strengthen political, legal, and bureaucratic reform, as well as to strengthen the prevention and eradication of corruption,” he said.
He added that the National Police is part of the state apparatus executing national priorities. He noted that the case is being handled through a joint investigation between the National Police’s Corruption Eradication Corps and the Polda Metro Jaya team.
