Jakarta – Former Bima City Police Chief AKBP Didik Putra Kuncoro, who faced charges of drug abuse and received a dishonourable discharge (PTDH), has been transferred to serve as a middle-ranking officer (pamen) in the Indonesian National Police (Polri) Headquarters Services (Yanma).

The transfer is outlined in Police Chief Telegram No. ST/440/II/KEP./2026 dated 27 February 2026, signed by Human Resources Assistant, Inspector General Anwar.

Regarding this matter, Polri’s Chief of Public Relations Inspector General Jhonny Eddison Isir confirmed the transfer of the former Bima City Police Chief. The reassignment was made to facilitate the administrative process for implementing the ethics commission’s decision.

“The transfer of AKBP Didik to Yanma is to streamline the administrative process for implementing the ethics commission decision and his dishonourable discharge, which is still being processed,” said Jhonny, speaking to journalists on Saturday, 28 February 2026.

Furthermore, the Telegram Letter states that AKBP Mubiarto Banu Kristanto, who previously served as Head of Traffic Investigation at the East Nusa Tenggara Regional Police Traffic Division, has been appointed to replace Didik as Bima City Police Chief.

For context, Bima City Police Chief AKBP Didik Putra Kuncoro was formally given a dishonourable discharge (PTDH) sanction in a drug and psychotropic substance abuse case.

This was announced by the Public Relations Chief of the Police Public Relations Division, Brigadier General Trunoyudo Wisnu Andiko, following the ethics hearing against AKBP Didik at the TNCC Building, Polri Headquarters, South Jakarta, on Thursday, 19 February 2026.

“In the ethics commission decision, the administrative sanction consists of a Dishonourable Discharge or PTDH as a member of Polri,” stated Trunoyudo.

Trunoyudo further explained that the individual was also given a special placement for seven days, from 13 to 19 February 2026, in the Special Room of the Provost Bureau, Police Professionalism and Internal Affairs Division, which the violator completed.

“Regarding this decision, the violator stated before the Commission chair and members that he accepts the verdict,” explained Trunoyudo.

For his actions, AKBP Didik was charged under Article 13 Paragraph 1 of Government Regulation No. 1 of 2003 on the Termination of Polri Members, in conjunction with Article 5 Paragraph 1 Letter b of Police Regulation No. 7 of 2022 on Professional Code of Ethics and the Police Code of Ethics Commission.

Additionally, AKBP Didik was charged under Article 8 Letter c Number 1 of Police Regulation No. 7 of 2022 on Professional Code of Ethics and the Police Code of Ethics Commission; Article 10 Paragraph 1 Letter d of Police Regulation No. 7 of 2022 on Professional Code of Ethics and the Police Code of Ethics Commission; Article 10 Paragraph 1 Letter f of Police Regulation No. 7 of 2022; Article 13 Letter d of Police Regulation No. 7 of 2022 on Professional Code of Ethics and the Police Code of Ethics Commission; Article 13 Letter e of Police Regulation No. 7 of 2022; and Article 13 Letter f of Police Regulation No. 7 of 2022.
