Police Mutate 108 Senior and Mid-Level Officers to Replace Several Regional Police Chiefs and Headquarters Officials
Mutations and rotations of positions are a natural aspect of the Polri organisation. This forms part of career development, organisational refreshment, and efforts to enhance personnel professionalism in facing increasingly dynamic challenges.
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Indonesian National Police has once again carried out rotations and mutations of positions for 108 senior officers (pati) and mid-level officers (pamen) in May 2026, to replace several regional police chiefs (kapolda) and main headquarters officials (PJU mabes).
Head of the Polri Public Relations Division, Inspector General of Police Johnny Eddizon Isir, stated that position mutations are part of the career development process and organisational strengthening within Polri.
“Mutations and rotations of positions are a natural matter in the Polri organisation. This is part of career development, organisational refreshment, and efforts to increase personnel professionalism in facing increasingly dynamic task challenges,” said Irjen Pol. Johnny in a statement received in Jakarta on Saturday.
In this mutation, a total of 108 personnel experienced position shifts, consisting of promotions, equivalent position transfers (flat), completion of education, and entering retirement.
Of that number, 91 personnel fall into the category of promotions and flat positions. The mutations cover several strategic positions in Polri Headquarters as well as regional ones.
Johnny hopes that the position changes within Polri can strengthen the implementation of service, protection, and guidance tasks to the community.
“Polri continues to commit to leadership regeneration and organisational strengthening to become more adaptive, professional, and capable of providing the best service to the community,” he said.
In detail, for PJU positions at Polri Headquarters, one personnel has been assigned as Head of the Education and Training Agency (Kalemdiklat), namely Commissioner General of Police Panca Putra.
Then, NTB Regional Police Chief Irjen Pol. Kalingga Rendra Raharja, Bengkulu Regional Police Chief Brigjen Pol. Yudhi Sulistianto Wahid, Southeast Sulawesi Regional Police Chief Brigjen Pol. Himawan Bayu Aji, and Central Sulawesi Regional Police Chief Brigjen Pol. Nasri.
The mutation also affects the positions of Heads of Metropolitan and Major City Police Resorts, namely Metro Depok Police Chief Commissioner Big Polisi Christian Rony Putra and Head of Pangkal Pinang City Police Resort Kombes Pol. Indra Wijatmiko.
In the mutation, Polri also recorded promotions for 16 personnel to the rank of Irjen Pol, three personnel with flat positions at the Irjen Pol level, 43 personnel promoted to Brigjen Pol, and 16 personnel promoted to Kombes Pol, with details of IIB1 levelling for 12 personnel, IIB2 for three personnel, and IIB3 for one personnel.
One female police officer (polwan) also received a position promotion, namely Brigjen Pol Sagung Dian Kartini, who is trusted to serve as Head of the Institutional and Administrative Bureau of the Main Staff for General Planning and Budget (Karolemtala Stamarena).
In addition to promotions and position rotations, this mutation also includes three personnel completing education and 14 personnel entering retirement.
