Police Mediate Altercation at South Tangerang Primary School
A disturbance occurred within the grounds of a primary school in Pamulang, South Tangerang City. Police arrived at the scene to mediate the situation.
Footage observed on Friday (5/6/2026) shows several parties attempting to force their way into the school premises by pushing open the gates, while individuals from inside the school attempted to prevent them from entering. This resulted in a physical altercation involving pushing and shoving.
The Chief of Pamulang Sector Police, AKP Galuh Febri Saputra, stated that the incident took place on Thursday (4/6). He noted that his personnel arrived at the location after receiving a report via the 110 emergency call centre. The report indicated that a group of people had arrived at the school, causing public unrest, which coincided with the time students were leaving school.
Upon arrival, the police conducted mediation and secured the area around the school, eventually bringing the situation under control. “Every piece of information received through the 110 service will be followed up quickly and professionally. The presence of our officers in the field is an effort to ensure the situation remains safe and to provide a sense of security to the community,” Galuh said when contacted on Friday (5/6/2026).
Galuh declined to provide specific details regarding the cause of the disturbance, stating only that the police arrived to ensure security. However, the altercation is suspected to be related to an ongoing lawsuit at the Depok District Court. “Since the SDIP school falls under the Pamulang legal jurisdiction, our personnel automatically arrived to ensure the situation remains calm and to prevent any acts of vigilantism,” he added.
