Police investigate workplace accident at KBN Marunda

Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Cilincing Police Precinct, part of the North Jakarta Metropolitan Police, is investigating a workplace accident at the KBN Marunda bonded zone in Cilincing, North Jakarta.

“That’s right, a workplace accident occurred and resulted in one fatality,” said Cilincing Police Chief AKP Bobi Subasri in Jakarta on Thursday.

He said the victim was a man who was allegedly run over by a heavy vehicle at the location.

According to him, officers from the Cilincing Police Precinct’s Criminal Investigation Unit are currently at the scene to conduct a crime scene investigation.

“We are still conducting a thorough investigation. We will provide further information once we have all the data,” said the 2015 Police Academy graduate.

Meanwhile, a video circulating among the press shows a man shouting to warn the driver of a heavy vehicle operating in the area.

A heavy vehicle with large tires is seen running over a worker.

The man shouts at the driver to stop the machine he is operating because it is running over a worker.

“Oh my God, that person, that person. Oops, hey, that person. Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un, Masya Allah,” said the man in the video.
