Police Investigate Viral Video of High School Student Trampled in Bogor

Police have arrived at the scene following reports of an incident in Ciheulet, a residential area, where a student was allegedly assaulted. ‘We have visited the location. The incident occurred during the afternoon in Ciheulet, within a residential area. A school uniform was left behind, suspected to belong to the victim,’ stated the Chief of East Bogor Sector Police, AKP Asep Sundana, on Thursday (4/6/2026).

Asep noted that authorities are currently tracing the victim and the perpetrators using clues from the recovered uniform. Initial investigations indicate that the uniform belongs to Al-Watasi High School in Caringin, Bogor Regency.

‘From the uniform, it has been identified as belonging to Al-Watasi High School in Caringin. We are still investigating this matter and will provide updates once there is more clarity,’ Asep added. Officers from the East Bogor Police Sector have proceeded to the victim’s school to further investigate the mobbing incident.

‘The only item we found at the crime scene was the uniform. This provides a lead for our investigators. The Head of Criminal Investigation has already departed for the school in Caringin. We will inform the public of the results in due course,’ he continued.

Previously, video footage showing a teenager being mobbed and trampled by fellow students in Baranangsiang, Bogor City, went viral on social media. Police are currently investigating the footage. ‘We are conducting an investigation to identify everyone in the video, as well as the victim and the perpetrators; they are still being sought,’ said AKP Asep.

In the viral video, a shirtless teenager is seen lying face down in a narrow alleyway between buildings. The victim, wearing grey trousers, appears to be struck with a wooden stick and trampled by the attackers. Approximately five individuals wearing high school uniforms are seen surrounding the victim. The footage suggests the victim is a high school student being assaulted by peers from the same school level.
