Police Investigate the Cause of Death of Two Foreign Nationals in West Jakarta Apartment

The West Jakarta Police are continuing their investigation to determine the cause of the incident,” said the Head of Public Relations of the Jakarta Metropolitan Police, Commissioner Budi Hermanto, on Thursday (4 June 2026).

Initial examinations have been carried out by investigators regarding the discovery. Preliminary results indicate that no signs of violence were found on the bodies of the two victims.

“Based on the initial examination, no signs of violence were found on the bodies of the two victims,” he said.

One Victim Unconscious

Previously, three foreign nationals were found lying in an apartment room in the Cengkareng area, West Jakarta. Two of them died, and one was unconscious.

“One man with the initials OSO (39) was found unconscious,” said the Head of Public Relations of the Jakarta Metropolitan Police, Commissioner Budi Hermanto, in a statement.

The victim has been taken to Budha Tzu Chi Hospital, Jelambar, West Jakarta, for treatment. Meanwhile, the bodies of the other two victims were taken to RS Polri Kramat Jati, East Jakarta.

The identities of the two deceased men are CD (27) and II (34). All three were found together in one apartment unit.

They were found on Monday (1 June) at around 9 pm. The exact cause of the incident is not yet known.
