Metro Jaya Police are still intensively investigating the case of the murder accompanied by mutilation of AH (39), an employee at a fried chicken stall in Serang Baru, Bekasi Regency, West Java. The two suspected perpetrators who have been arrested are now being thoroughly examined to uncover their respective roles.

The Head of Public Relations of Metro Jaya Police, Commissioner Budi Hermanto, stated that investigators are still tracing the complete chronology, including the involvement of the perpetrators, the sequence of events, and suspected attempts to eliminate traces.

“Investigators are delving into the roles of each perpetrator, from the time of the incident to post-crime efforts,” said Budi on Monday (30/3).

The two suspected perpetrators, initialled DS alias A and S, were arrested on Sunday (29/3) around 09:30 WIB in Sindang Panji Village, Cikijing Subdistrict, Majalengka Regency.

Police are prioritising scientific crime investigation methods in handling this case. Several steps have been taken, from witness examinations, deepening the suspects’ statements, victim autopsies, to forensic laboratory tests.

In addition, investigators are still hunting for parts of the victim’s body that have not been found to strengthen the evidence and for forensic purposes.

“We ask the public to give space for investigators to work maximally. Facts will be revealed gradually based on evidence and forensic findings,” Budi said.

This case came to light after residents of Mega Regency Housing, Sukaragam Village, Serang Baru, were shocked by the discovery of a body in a freezer on Saturday (28/3).

The victim was found in a gruesome condition without hands and feet in a fried chicken stall at Block D33. He was known to work at the stall and was familiarly called Pak Bedul.

The General Criminal Investigation Directorate of Metro Jaya Police previously confirmed that the two suspected perpetrators have been secured, but police are still delving into the motive and complete chronology of the murder.
