Jakarta (ANTARA) – Police are investigating the discovery of a male body in the Ciliwung River, on Jalan Tanjung Barat Blok Buni RT 09/RW 01, Tanjung Barat, Jagakarsa, South Jakarta. “The body was found on Tuesday afternoon at 5:00 PM in the Ciliwung River, which flows through Lenteng Agung, Jagakarsa, South Jakarta,” said the Head of the Jagakarsa Police Precinct, Kompol Nurma Dewi, to reporters in Jakarta on Tuesday. Nurma said that at around that time, several people were fishing and saw a body floating in the Ciliwung River. Subsequently, the two witnesses reported the incident to Roni, who is the community police officer for the Lenteng Agung sub-district, Jagakarsa, South Jakarta, at 6:00 PM. “At around 7:20 PM, the body was evacuated from the Ciliwung River by the Jagakarsa Fire Department, South Jakarta, using a body bag and rope,” she said.
