The Tanjung Jabung Timur Police are conducting a thorough investigation into the mysterious death of one of their members, Brigadier E. The victim was found deceased in his boarding room on Saturday, 18th July.

Resort Police Chief, Adjunct Senior Commissioner Ade Chandra, confirmed that his team is investigating the incident comprehensively to determine the cause of death accurately and transparently. “Since receiving the information, I have ordered the competent units to carry out a full investigation. We want to ascertain the cause of death professionally, objectively based on facts, and transparently,” Ade Chandra stated on Tuesday, 21st July.

Based on the initial investigation and examination of five witnesses, it was revealed that before his death, the victim had consumed alcoholic beverages with four colleagues, who are also police officers. This activity took place at the victim’s boarding house located in the West Muarasabak area, Tanjung Jabung Timur Regency.

According to witness statements, after drinking the alcohol, the victim suddenly lost his balance and fell heavily. A severe impact to the head and foam coming from the victim’s mouth caused his colleagues to panic, and they immediately rushed him to the hospital. Unfortunately, upon arrival at the medical facility, Brigadier E was pronounced dead. To complete the investigation file, the Police Chief stated that his party will also examine digital evidence related to the victim’s final activities.

“We are committed to investigating this incident based on the facts found. We are also continuously communicating with the victim’s family regarding the progress of this process,” Ade added. Regarding various speculations circulating in the community, the Police Chief urged all parties to refrain from spreading unverified information. “We urge the public not to develop assumptions or speculations that are not supported by facts. Entrust the entire legal process to the police,” he concluded.
