Internal discipline and regulation enforcement (Gaktiblin) operations were conducted in several regions to ensure professionalism, discipline, and adherence to the police code of ethics. One such activity was carried out at the Kukar Resort Police, targeting various important aspects, from personal administrative completeness and appearance to the proper use of service uniforms according to regulations.

‘The primary purpose is to ensure all personnel carry out their duties professionally, with discipline and guided by the police code of ethics,’ said Head of Profession and Security Unit (Kasi Propam) Adjunct Commissioner Slamet Rijadi. During the Gaktiblin exercise in the Kukar Police headquarters parade ground, Profession and Security Division members inspected personal identity documents, including identity cards, driving licences, tax identification numbers, Police membership cards, and vehicle registration certificates. Grooming aspects were also the focus of the inspection, from haircuts and uniform neatness to the completeness of official attributes.

‘Personnel found in violation will be subject to disciplinary sanctions in the form of verbal or written reprimands. If the violation is classified as serious, we will follow up in accordance with the applicable regulations,’ Commissioner Slamet Rijadi asserted.

Internal supervisory efforts were also undertaken by the Profession and Security Section (Sipropam) of the I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport Area Police. The team inspected personnel’s mobile phones as part of an internal oversight measure to prevent breaches of discipline, code of ethics, or criminal acts. The activity, led by Kasi Propam, targeted inspection of members’ mobile devices to ensure there was no indication of involvement in online gambling, drug abuse, or content contrary to prevailing rules and norms.

In his directive, Kasi Propam of the I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport Area Police, First Inspector I Gede Susandi, stressed to all personnel to consistently uphold discipline, integrity, and professionalism in executing their duties. Personnel were also reminded not to engage in any form of legal violation that could harm themselves or tarnish the good name of the Police institution.

The West Kalimantan Regional Police Provost Unit also conducted Gaktiblin operations at the Pontianak City Police as a measure to enhance the discipline, professionalism, and integrity of Police personnel. The activity, led directly by Sub-directorate Head of Provost Adjunct Senior Commissioner Bibit Waluyo, was conducted after morning parade and attended by all Pontianak City Police personnel.

Pontianak City Police Chief Senior Commissioner Endang Tri Purwanto and Deputy Police Chief Adjunct Senior Commissioner Hendrawan attended the activity. The team conducted thorough inspections of personnel, covering appearance, uniform use, personal identification completeness including member cards, driving licences, and identity cards, motor vehicle documentation, and urine tests to ensure no drug abuse within the Police force.

The Pontianak Police Chief conveyed that Gaktiblin activities represent a crucial internal oversight measure to maintain the discipline and professionalism of Police personnel in their daily duties. In Maros, the Police’s Propam unit also conducted Gaktiblin to strengthen discipline, professionalism, and compliance with applicable regulations.

Personnel from Sipropam inspected appearance, uniform neatness, personal identity completeness, and personnel administration. They emphasised to all members to consistently uphold discipline, avoid all forms of violation, and preserve the positive image of the Police institution among the public. ‘There is no tolerance for members who commit violations. Discipline and integrity must be the main guidelines in executing duties so that public trust in the Police can be continuously maintained,’ Maros Police’s Kasi Propam, Adjunct Commissioner Zulkarnain, asserted.

Magelang City Police’s Propam unit conducted a surprise Gaktiblin raid for all personnel. The internal operation targeted various disciplinary aspects of Police and civil servant personnel within the Magelang Police force. Sipropam ensured the supervision was conducted thoroughly, beginning with the completeness of personal data documents as regulated, through to personnel appearance. Propam strictly prohibits the use of tight or pencil-style uniform trousers, requires neat hair without beards for male police officers, and limits fingernail length to a maximum of 2 millimetres.
