Currently, the Puncak tourist route is undergoing a one-way traffic system directing vehicles downhill or towards Jakarta,” said Head of Traffic Unit of the Bogor Police, AKP Afif Widhi Ananto, on Sunday (17/5/2026) afternoon.

As observed by detikcom at the Gadog intersection, traffic is currently flowing in one direction, heading towards Jakarta. Meanwhile, vehicles heading to Puncak and Cianjur are temporarily stopped.

The road leading to Puncak Bogor is blocked using water barriers at the Gadog intersection. Vehicles heading to Puncak via the Ciawi arterial road are stopped in front of the Gadog gas station, while vehicles coming through the Jagorawi Toll Road are stopped at KM 47 towards the Gadog intersection.

Afif explained that the one-way traffic system towards Jakarta is implemented by blocking vehicles at Gunung Mas or near the rest area. The police patrol and ensure that no vehicles, especially cars, are heading towards Puncak. This process of clearing the road is carried out from the Gadog intersection to the border with Cianjur.

The one-way system is implemented situationally, depending on traffic conditions and vehicle volume on the Puncak highway.

“We are still on standby and prioritising people who have finished their tourism activities by implementing this situational one-way traffic system,” said Afif.

“The duration of the one-way system will depend on our monitoring of vehicle volume. If all vehicles have passed through, we will return to a normal two-way traffic system,” he added.
