The Bogor Police Traffic Unit has begun implementing a one-way system towards Jakarta on the Puncak road in Bogor, West Java. Traffic flow towards Puncak has been temporarily halted.

“This afternoon, compared to yesterday, there has been a decrease in traffic. Additionally, there are tourists who have finished their activities and are returning to Jakarta. Therefore, at 12:30 PM, we implemented the one-way system in the direction of Jakarta,” said the Head of the Bogor Police Traffic Unit, AKP Afif Widhi Ananto, at the Gadog intersection on Friday (May 15, 2026).

As observed by detikcom, traffic flow at the Gadog intersection is now one-way towards Jakarta. Meanwhile, traffic towards Puncak and Cianjur is temporarily closed.

The road section leading to Puncak Bogor is blocked with barriers at the Gadog intersection. Vehicles heading towards Puncak via the Ciawi arterial road are stopped in front of the Gadog gas station, while those coming from the Jagorawi Toll Road are stopped at Km 47 towards Gadog.

The police have completed the process of opening the one-way system up to the border of Cianjur. Officers can be seen inspecting the road conditions from the Gadog intersection to ensure that no vehicles are heading towards Puncak.

“We have made preparations to implement the one-way system in both directions, towards Puncak and towards Jakarta,” said Afif.

Afif stated that the one-way system towards Jakarta will be implemented situationally. The Puncak road will be returned to a two-way system if traffic flow is smooth.

“The one-way system will be implemented situationally, depending on the volume of vehicles passing through. In addition, we will monitor the situation on the ground and provide updates through posts on the Bogor Police Traffic Unit’s TMC channel,” he said.
