Police have provided an update regarding the case of a man, identified by the initials DM, who died after being thrown from the second floor following an assault by a group of individuals in Grogol Petamburan, West Jakarta. Authorities have now identified the suspects involved.

“The suspects have certainly been identified,” stated AKP Wisnu, Head of Public Relations for the West Jakarta Metro Police, on Monday (18/5/202<0xA0>6).

He noted that the case is currently being handled by the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Grogol Petamburan Police. Several witnesses have been interrogated, and the investigation process is ongoing. “Once the necessary requirements are met, the case will proceed to a more formal investigation stage,” he added.

Regarding the circumstances of the death, police revealed witness testimonies concerning the death of DM (38). Witnesses stated that the victim was thrown from the second floor of a billiard hall, falling into the Grogol Market area.

“Based on witness statements, the victim was thrown from the second floor,” AKP Wisnu told reporters on Saturday (16/5). However, he emphasised that investigators are still deepening their investigation into these claims. Additionally, police intend to review CCTV footage from the location to ascertain the exact sequence of events.
