Cileungsi Police Chief Kompol Edison added that suspect M acted as both the mastermind and leader of the robbery gang, assigning roles to each member. During the robbery incident, M was the person who gagged and beat elderly victim Samah (66) after he was deemed to have resisted.
“(Suspect M) was the mastermind and leader who assigned each member their role. (M’s role during the robbery) involved binding, gagging, and beating the victim,” stated Edison in a separate interview.
According to Edison, suspect M was known for being cunning and frequently evading arrest. The apprehension of M was conducted dramatically. Kompol Edison personally went undercover, posing as an electricity company official.
