Police Hunt Ponjong Resident Iwan for Sexual Assault

Police have named Iwan Ade Saputro (33) as a wanted fugitive (DPO) in connection with a sexual assault case. Members of the public are urged to contact the police if they have any information regarding the individual. Iwan was declared a DPO by the Yogyakarta Regional Police based on warrant DPO/12/VII/RES.1.24./2026/Ditreskrimum dated 13 July 2026. Information regarding Iwan was disseminated via the Yogyakarta Regional Police’s Instagram account @poldajogja. According to the information released by the police, Iwan was born on 12 May 1993. He resides in Sawahan, Ponjong, Gunungkidul. Iwan works as a casual daily labourer. The police also included a photograph of Iwan. “The suspect is alleged to have committed physical sexual abuse as referred to in Article 6C in conjunction with Article 6 of Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 12 of 2022,” the Yogyakarta Regional Police stated.
