Jakarta (ANTARA) - Police are hunting the perpetrators of the theft of an expedition truck on Jalan Joe, No. 12 RT 04/RW 06, Lenteng Agung, Jagakarsa, South Jakarta, which occurred on Wednesday (25/2) at 04:45 WIB.

“On Wednesday (25/2), it was discovered that one unit of a white Isuzu Traga Blind truck with license plate B-9214-BCZ was stolen,” said Jagakarsa Police Chief Kompol Nurma Dewi in a statement in Jakarta, Thursday.

Nurma said that at that time, there were two employees sleeping inside the expedition warehouse. However, at around 03:15 WIB, one of the employees went out to go home because he wanted to have his pre-dawn meal.

It is known that the truck was last left in an unlocked condition and the driver’s side window was also open.

“It is suspected that four perpetrators entered the terrace of the expedition warehouse through the gate because the gate was not locked, then two of the perpetrators entered and the other two perpetrators waited on a motorcycle,” she said.

After that, the perpetrators opened the door of the truck using a fake key and managed to take the truck. The victim, with the initials MZA (25), reported the theft to the Jagakarsa Police.

Currently, the police have visited the crime scene, questioned witnesses and collected evidence.

“We interrogated the witnesses and requested video recordings from surveillance cameras (CCTV) at the crime scene,” she said.
