Officers nearly caught the perpetrator, but he managed to escape. West Java Police Head of Public Relations, Senior Commissioner Hendra Rochmawan, said officers are continuing to pursue the suspect. He stated the perpetrator keeps moving locations to avoid capture. “We raided his location several times, but the individual still managed to escape,” he said on Friday (19/6/2026). He added that officers are relentlessly chasing the perpetrator of this heinous act. The police have not yet been able to disclose the suspect’s location, but the pursuit is ongoing. Previously, a woman with the initials YTT (29), who was believed to have been missing for three years, was found with severe injuries and is being treated at Hasan Sadikin Hospital in Bandung. The victim, a resident of Bandung Regency, is suspected to have been a victim of kidnapping and assault by her male associate, TH. The case was reported to the West Java Regional Police by the victim’s sibling on Friday (12/6/2026). Senior Commissioner Hendra Rochmawan confirmed the victim had reported the incident to the police. He said the victim’s sibling received a WhatsApp message from an unknown number informing them that their sister was in the emergency department (IGD) of Hasan Sadikin Hospital in Bandung. After receiving the information, the sibling went to the hospital and found their sister with severe injuries. “The victim was in a state of severe injury to the head, face, and legs, with minor injuries to the hands,” he said on Tuesday (16/6/2026).
