Police Hunt Drug Dealer in Case Involving Former Bima Police Chief AKBP Didik
Jakarta, CNN Indonesia – Police have obtained the identity of the drug dealer in the alleged drug trafficking case that implicates Bima City Police Chief AKBP Didik Putra Kuncoro. Didik has been removed from his post and is now a suspect. The Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police, Inspector General Johnny Eddizon Isir, stated that the dealer in the case has the initials E. He confirmed that the individual is currently being pursued.
“The identity of the dealer with initials E is already fully profiled. The process for pursuit and arrest is underway,” Johnny said during a press conference at his office in Jakarta on Sunday evening (15 February).
He explained that the dealer in the syndicate played a role in supplying drugs to AKP Malaungi, the Head of the Narcotics Unit at Bima City Police, who has also been named a suspect. According to Johnny, authorities are currently deepening the investigation into the involvement and roles of AKBP Didik and AKP Malaungi in the case.
“And this is being investigated by colleagues from the Narcotics Directorate of the NTB Provincial Police, in collaboration with colleagues from Directorate 4 of the National Police Criminal Investigation Agency,” he said.
AKBP Didik Putra Kuncoro has come under public scrutiny following the drug case involving AKP Malaungi, who was named a suspect. AKBP Didik is alleged to have been involved by receiving Rp1 billion from a drug dealer named Koko Erwin. In the investigation by the NTB Provincial Police, Koko Erwin is said to be the source for AKP Malaungi to obtain methamphetamine weighing 488 grams.
Didik is charged with violating Article 609 paragraph 2 letter a of Law Number 1 of 2023 on the Criminal Code (KUHP), in conjunction with Law Number 1 of 2026 on Criminal Adjustments, and Article 62 of Law Number 5 of 1997 on Psychotropics.
