Police hold car parts sale

JAKARTA (JP): City Police are holding a two-week sale of
essential car parts and lubricants at the headquarters' complex,
spokesman Lt. Col. E. Aritonang said yesterday.

Items, sold jointly with 18 local vehicle spare parts and
lubricants manufacturers, include air filters, batteries, brake
shoes, brake linings, grease, spark plugs and various lubricants.

"We guarantee that all the items are genuine and they are
between 20 and 40 percent cheaper than the market prices," he
said.

Some of the bargains include a 450-gram container of Jumbo
brand grease for Rp 4,000, and a one-liter bottle of brake fluid
DOT-3 of the same brand for Rp 12,000, or Rp 3,000 cheaper than
the market price.

State-owned oil company PT Pertamina sells a one-liter bottle
of Mesran Super 20W/50 for Rp 3,600, at least Rp 2,000 cheaper
that the market price.

A company staff member said buyers would be limited to five
containers each.
