Police High School Attains Globally Recognised IBDP Certification
The Indonesian National Police’s Kemala Taruna Bhayangkara (KTB) High School has been awarded the globally-recognised International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) certificate by the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO). The IBDP certificate is a prestigious global academic qualification for students aged 16-19. This two-year programme is recognised by top universities worldwide and is designed to foster critical thinking, independence, and a global outlook. The certificate was presented by IBO Chief Finance Officer Umeet Shah to SMA KTB, witnessed by National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo at the National Police Headquarters in Jakarta on Thursday.
“I am grateful for the team’s hard work and I also thank the honourable Mr. Umeet Shah for his full support and for granting the IBDP certificate, where the process was implemented very rigorously,” Sigit said. According to Sigit, with this certificate, the National Police will continue to support and implement President Prabowo Subianto’s programme to establish top-tier schools for all young Indonesians. “We prepare them to become outstanding young generations who are ready with options, whether they later enter official colleges in Indonesia or prestigious international universities,” he stated.
The National Police Chief expressed hope that KTB High School could become one of the leading schools in the country. “Our target and hope is that it can enter the top ten international elite schools, that is our expectation,” Sigit said. He added that KTB High School has currently commenced two cohorts of education. “We truly hope it can produce young generations, future leader candidates, to realise the vision of Golden Indonesia 2045,” Sigit said. During the event, the Executive Board of the Kemala Taruna Bhayangkara Educational Institution was also inaugurated. IBO Chief Finance Officer Umeet Shah stated he was honoured to personally hand over the IBDP certificate to the National Police Chief and appreciated the efforts made by the National Police, the Kemala Bhayangkari Foundation, and the Taruna Bhayangkara Foundation in validating these educational facilities.
