Police harvested 10 tonnes of maize in the Sukamantri area, Tamansari sub-district, Bogor, West Java. The maize was harvested from a plot of land spanning 1.7 hectares.

“This afternoon, we carried out the harvest at two locations covering 1.7 hectares, with an estimated yield of 10 tonnes,” said Deputy Chief of Bogor Police, Kompol Rizka Fadilah, on Saturday (28/3/2026).

The activity involved a combined team of apparatus and local government officials. The harvest, held in the afternoon, marks the first quarter of 2026.

“It was also conveyed that in the first quarter of 2026, Bogor Police planted approximately 209 hectares of maize,” she explained.

They aim to harvest 500 tonnes from the planted maize. The harvested produce will be directly distributed to Bulog.

“The target harvest is expected to reach 500 tonnes, which will be channelled to Bulog,” she stated.

They are collaborating with local farmers in managing the cultivation. Regarding the utilisation of the harvested maize, it will be handed over to Bulog.

“For its utilisation, which is managed and partnered by the National Police and the maize farmer groups, it is directed to Bulog, and then Bulog will utilise it further,” she concluded.
