Police Exhume Body of Chicken Thief for Forensic Autopsy
The Tabanan Police have carried out an exhumation of the body of KD, a man who died after being mobbed in Banjar Dinas Juwuk Legi, Batunya Village, Baturiti District, Tabanan, for stealing a chicken. Exhumation is a medical and legal term for an autopsy performed after a body has been buried.
Tabanan Police Chief AKBP I Putu Bayu Pati explained that the exhumation aims to conduct a medical examination or forensic autopsy to determine the cause of the unnatural death for legal purposes. βThe exhumation is planned to be carried out today,β Bayu Pati said during a press conference.
Furthermore, the exhumation is part of the investigation to uncover new facts, including the cause of death and the number of injuries KD sustained from the assault. It was previously reported that the Tabanan Police have named five suspects in the mob attack on the alleged chicken thief, identified by the initials KD, which resulted in his death in Banjar Dinas Juwuk Legi, Batunya Village, Baturiti District. The five suspects have the initials MJ, WS, KB, ML, and ND.
