Police Examine CCTV in Investigation of Sutrimo's Death

The South Jakarta Metro Police Criminal Investigation Unit, together with the Metro Jaya Regional Police, are investigating the death of a man named Sutrimo, 42, in front of a beauty clinic in the Kebayoran Baru area, South Jakarta. South Jakarta Metro Police Criminal Investigation Unit Head, AKBP Iskandarsyah, stated that investigators are gathering witness statements and reviewing CCTV footage from around the scene. "We processed the crime scene immediately. After receiving the information and checking the scene, we continued by searching for information in the surrounding area, witnesses, and CCTV," Iskandarsyah said on Sunday (26/7/2026). Police tape has been stretched across the front of the beauty clinic. The interior of the clinic appeared dark and covered with curtains, with no visible activity; the inside lights were off while the exterior lights remained on. Based on circulating information, Sutrimo was found unconscious with foam at the mouth on Thursday (23/7/2026). He was evacuated by ambulance to Muhammadiyah Taman Puring Hospital before being pronounced dead. There are reports that the victim was the Head of Household Affairs for former Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes, Febrie Adriansyah. However, the police have stressed that they are still investigating the victim’s identity and background. "It is still being investigated," said Metro Jaya Police Head of Public Relations, Commissioner Budi Hermanto, on Sunday (26/7/2026). Budi expressed his condolences over the victim’s death. He added that investigators are currently seeking clarification from various parties, including the victim’s family, the ambulance driver, hospital staff, and are tracing the history of the medical transport booking and the point where the victim was initially found.
