Police Engage Hundreds of Security Personnel to Secure Eid Homecoming in Cikarang

The Cikarang Central Police Subdistrict, in conjunction with the Vital Object Security Unit (PAM Obvit) of Metro Bekasi Police, held a combined security briefing in the Deltamas area, Cikarang. The police engaged hundreds of security personnel for this briefing.

“This combined briefing was conducted to enhance preparedness and strengthen synergy between the police and area security personnel, particularly the chiefs and security members in the Deltamas area, in preparation for Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijrah/2026 CE,” said Kompol Saiful Anwar, Chief of PAM Obvit Metro Bekasi Police, on Tuesday (17/3/2026).

The briefing was held at the Security & Fire Command Centre GIIC, Deltamas Boulevard, Sukamahi Village, Central Cikarang Subdistrict, Bekasi Regency, this morning. The briefing aimed to strengthen cooperation between the police and area security in maintaining public safety and order.

He noted that ahead of Eid al-Fitr, there is typically an increase in public activity, including vehicle mobility, shopping centre activities, industrial zones, and residential areas. This situation requires joint preparedness and vigilance to anticipate potential security disturbances.

“Therefore, I emphasise to all personnel involved in security operations to increase alertness, tighten surveillance at vulnerable points such as area access points, car parks, offices, shopping centres, and other vital facilities,” he said.

The briefing, attended by 145 security personnel, was also attended by Central Cikarang Police Chief AKP Elia Umboh and Deputy Chief Iptu Noto Aksoro. The briefing also aimed to optimise joint patrols and monitoring of public activities and vehicles entering and exiting the area.

“Our shared hope is that through this combined briefing, we can strengthen unity, enhance preparedness, and provide a sense of security and comfort to the community celebrating Eid al-Fitr,” he said.

After the briefing, a combined patrol involving PAM Obvit Metro Bekasi Police, Central Cikarang Police Subdistrict, and Deltamas area security personnel was conducted at crime-prone locations in the area. Additionally, coordination and communication in monitoring public safety and order in the Central Cikarang Police Subdistrict jurisdiction were reinforced.
