Police Distribute Bread and Mineral Water Amid Protests at DPR Building

Police personnel provided services to protesters expressing their aspirations in front of the DPR/MPR RI Building this afternoon. In addition to providing security, the police also engaged in a humanitarian gesture.

Joint personnel from the Jakarta Central Metro Police and the Samapta Directorate of Polda Metro Jaya deployed amidst the mass action in front of the DPR on Jalan Gatot Subroto, Senayan, on Monday (21/9/2026) afternoon. Amidst the scorching heat, the police distributed bread and mineral water to the protesters.

The Head of Logistics Bureau (Karolog) of Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Pol Yandri Irsan, stated that this activity is part of the police service during the ongoing protest.

“Personnel on the ground are also helping to meet the needs of the participants. We are distributing bread and mineral and mineral water as part of our service during the activity,” said Yandri.

The food and beverages were given to participants from the Pandeglang, Cianjur, and Sukabumi Community Alliance who were delivering their aspirations in the DPR/MPR RI area.

The activity involved personnel from the Protest Service Mobile Unit alongside the Negotiator Team of the Samapta Directorate of Polda Metro Jaya, coordinating with the Jakarta Central Metro Police.

Meanwhile, the Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Pol Budi Hermanto, urged all participants to convey their aspirations in an orderly manner and to continue respecting the interests of the wider public.

“We urge all participants to convey their aspirations peacefully, follow the directions of officers on the ground, and work together to keep the situation safe and conducive,” said Kombes Budi Hermanto.
