Police distribute Berty's sketch

JAYAPURA, Papua: Jayapura Police chief Adj. Sr. Comr. Totok Kasmiarto released on Thursday a sketch of Berty Loupatty, who is suspected of instigating sectarian violence on the neighboring island of Maluku.

The sketch was publicized in the local media so that the public could recognize him. The suspect has allegedly been seen in Tanah Hitam in the Abepura district of the Papuan provincial capital, Jayapura.

The picture, printed in color, shows Berty dressed in red and black with his right arm heavily tattooed and his left thumb missing.

Totok said that he had formed a team to hunt down Berty and his accomplices, Hans Nanlohi and Victor Tahata. --Antara
