Police Dismantle Illegal Motorcycle Receiving Warehouse in Jakarta

Police have secured 1,494 units of illegal motorcycles and detained one suspect. A number of motorcycles suspected to be the result of illegal receiving were found in a warehouse in the Kemandoran VIII area, Jakarta, on Monday (11/5/2026). The Subdirectorate of Motor Vehicles (Subdit Ranmor) of the Directorate of Criminal Investigation (Ditreskrimum) of the Metro Jaya Police has dismantled an alleged case involving the receiving of thousands of illegal motorcycles. In the raid, police secured 1,494 units of motorcycles, comprising 957 intact vehicles and 537 vehicles that had been dismantled into components and spare parts, which are suspected to be destined for shipment abroad. Police have named one suspect with the initials WS. Director of General Criminal Investigation of the Metro Jaya Police, Commissioner Iman Imannudin, along with the Head of Public Relations of the Metro Jaya Police, Commissioner Budi Hermanto, provided details regarding the case of illegal motorcycle receiving at the warehouse in the Kemandoran VIII area, Jakarta, on Monday (11/5/2026).
