Police Dismantle Illegal Drug Sales Operation Using Cash on Delivery in Depok, 1,100 Tablets Seized
Police arrested three drug dealers with initials DF, MA, and RA operating an illegal drug distribution network using cash-on-delivery (COD) methods in the Bojongsari area of Depok, West Java. A total of 1,100 tablets were seized during the operation.
“We have apprehended three suspects and perpetrators. The first is DF, who used the same method of selling via COD,” said Bojongsari Police Chief, Kompol Fauzan Thohari, on Tuesday (17 March 2026).
DF was arrested in Serua, Bojongsari, Depok on Friday (16 January) at 5:30 p.m. The suspect earned 400,000 rupiah per day for carrying out the operation.
“The suspects’ motive for this activity was economic. They earned approximately 400,000 rupiah daily. Suspect DF had been distributing and selling the prohibited drugs for approximately two months,” Thohari explained.
MA was subsequently arrested on Friday (30 January) at 9:00 p.m. in Duren Seribu, Bojongsari, Depok. MA had conducted the operation over a three-month period, earning approximately 200,000 rupiah daily.
“The suspect’s modus operandi was identical—selling drugs via COD—and the motive was likewise economic. Suspect MA had been selling prohibited drugs for approximately three months and made an average profit of 200,000 rupiah per day,” the police chief stated.
RA was arrested on Friday (13 March) at 9:00 p.m. in Pengasinan, Sawangan, Depok, with similar economic motives.
“This suspect had been conducting the criminal activity for three months and made a profit of 200,000 rupiah per day,” Thohari said.
Police seized evidence consisting of Schedule G drugs including Tramadol, Trihexyphenidyl, Hexymer, Euforiss, Alprazolam, and Valdimex, totalling 1,100 tablets.
All three suspects face charges under Article 435 in conjunction with Article 138, or Articles 436(1) and 436(2) of Law No. 17 of 2023 concerning Health of the Republic of Indonesia, carrying a maximum prison sentence of 12 years or maximum fine of 5 billion rupiah.
